The story of SHINTY, an indigenous sport of Scotland that has been described by many as "hockey for psychopaths". This thirty minute documentary will take viewers through the rudiments of the sport in the run up to the shinty world's biggest day out - the Scottish Hydro Electric Camanachd Cup Final.The programme will delve into the roots of that sport which at times has a turbulent history. Shinty also has strong community links, giving a sense of identity to Highland towns such as Fort William and Kingussie.
Interviewee's include Dr. Hugh Dan MacLennan, Scotland's foremost writer and broadcaster of shinty, and John MacKenzie, Newtonmore stalwart and President of the Camnanachd Association.
